Adjuvant therapy
5-FU & low-dose Leucovorin (Mayo Clinic regimen/LDLV)
Regimen
- Folinic acid (Leucovorin) 20 mg/m2 IV push before 5-FU days 1-5
- Fluorouracil (5-FU) 425 mg/m2 IV push days 1-5
Two different schedules have been used:
- 4-week cycles x 3 cycles, then 5-week cycles x 3 cycles
- 4-week cycles x 6 cycles
