Loading dose

• Degarelix (Firmagon) 240 mg SC once on day 1. Give as two 120 mg injections with a 27 gauge, 1 1/4 inch needle. Administer at a 45 degree angle SC into the periumbilical tissue while holding the tissue in a tented up fashion.
