Vinorelbine (Navelbine)

General information

Class/mechanism: Vinca alkaloid, inhibits microtubule formation in the mitotic spindle, causing cell cycle arrest in metaphase. Vinorelbine may possibly also disrupt: amino acid, cyclic AMP, and glutathione metabolism; calmodulin-dependent calcium transport ATPase activity; and DNA/RNA and lipid synthesis.
