Vismodegib (Erivedge)

General information

Class/mechanism: Hedgehog pathway inhibitor. Vismodegib binds to and inhibits the transmembrane protein Smoothened (SMO), which is part of the Hedgehog signal transduction pathway that is clinically relevant in diseases such as basal cell cancer.
