Definition
- Mild eosinophilia: Absolute eosinophil count 500 to 1500 cells/μL
- Moderate eosinophilia: Absolute eosinophil count 1500 to 5000 cells/μL
- Severe eosinophilia: Absolute eosinophil count >5000 cells/μL
Evaluation
May consist of:
- CBC with differential
- Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP)
- Peripheral smear
- Vitamin B12
- Troponin I
- CK
- ANCA
- Strongyloides Antibody
- CHIC2, 4q12 Deletion (FIP1L1 and PDGFRA Fusion) FISH.
- T-Cell Receptor Gene Rearrangement PCR.
- Flow cytometry
- BCR-ABL FISH
- Immunoglobulins IgG, IgA, IgM
