Class/mechanism: Antifungal, known to have activity against Pneumocystis jiroveci. Mechanism not fully understood, but mechanism hypothesized to involve inhibition of DNA, RNA, phospholipid, and protein synthesis.[1][2]
Route: inhaled, IM, IV
